HARDWOOD: Hardwood garden furniture is both attractive and durable. This dense, close-grained hardwood is almost knot free with a straight grain and similar in appearance to mahogany. Regular treatment is required to retain the original reddish brown colour. Alternatively, if untreated it fades to an attractive silver grey colour.

Claims that "we use FSC timber" or "our suppliers are FSC certified" are dishonest, because the FSC certifies products and not suppliers. If the claim is invalid the timber is not FSC certified.

ABOUT THE FSC®: The FSC or Forest Stewardship Council is a non profit organization which promotes responsible forest management throughout the world. Since 1994 the FSC has certified over 190 million acres of forest in over 80 countries. The FSC confirms that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves the natural ecosystem and benefits the lives of local people and workers but also sustains economic viablility. FSC certification ensures that forests are responsibly managed by protecting plant and animal species, the rights of indigenous people and the safety of forest workers. FSC chain of custody certification verifies that FSC-certified material has been identified and separated from non-certified and non-controlled material at every step throughout the supply chain.

CUSHIONS: Our cushions feature showerproof polyester fabrics. Cushions with a zip on one side are removable and machine washable at low temperatures. Cushions without a zip can be easily washed by hand in a bowl of soapy water. Occasional cleaning is required if cushions are stored outside for long periods. Your cushions should be stored in a dry environment during the winter to ensure that they remain in good condition.

SAFETY: This product should be placed on a flat, level and hard base. Concrete and paving are ideal. Lawns are often too soft, but may be suitable with care. Children should not be allowed to climb on this product or to play around it without adult supervision. Jumping on this product is not recommended. Adults should sit down without excessive force. During the winter months and periods of adverse weather we recommend covering this product or storing it under cover.

BASE ANCHORS: Our base anchor kits are designed to fix timber products firmly into a concrete or paving base. Sufficient brackets and fixings are supplied to securely fix the main supports down into the base. As a minimum, our 2 pack features 2 base anchors to fix down 2 of the supports, normally at opposite corners. Our 4 pack features 4 base anchors to fix down the supports at 4 corners. The kit includes wood screws to fix the brackets into the timber and hammer fixings to fix down into the base. The brackets feature pre-drilled holes. Drill bits are not included. If you plan to fix your product into a timber or decking base you should replace the hammer fixings with woodscrews.

PATIO HEATERS: Patio heaters are a great way to enable you and your guests to enjoy your garden in comfort for more of the year. A regulator with hose is included as standard with many of our patio heaters. The gas bottle is not included. Ventilation is required when in use.

• Delivery is normally between 5 and 8 days after order.
• Our garden furniture prices include all delivery charges - unlike others we do not add delivery charges during the checkout process
• Kerbside delivery with advance notice by phone a day or two before
• This garden furniture is easy to deliver if access is restricted - all sections are designed to pass through a normal single door.
